Loise Rena Thompson , 67, of Center, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, in Nacogdoches.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with funeral service 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Watson & Sons Chapel.  Bro. Mark Green and Bro. Johnny Lewis will officiate.  Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Shelby County.

Born June 4, 1954, Rena is the daughter of George W. Duke and Edna Patterson Duke.  She loved spending time with her grandbabies. Rena also loved the Lord and her church, Antioch Baptist Church, where she was a member for 30+ years.

She is survived by her husband, James Thompson of Center; daughter, Jessica Belrose (Justin) of Center; grandchildren, Anna Claire, Sadie, and Ella Belrose of Center; brother, George Duke of Timpson; sister, Edna Ezernack of Many, Louisiana; also, a host of family and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, George W. Duke and Edna Patterson Duke; and sister-in-law, Betty Duke.
