Lloyd "Peewee"
Stephens
May 18, 1958 — Dec 11, 2025
Lloyd "PeeWee" Stephens , 67, of Logansport, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025, in Logansport, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 15, 2025, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Keith Keele officiating. Interment will follow at Reeves Cemetery in Logan, Texas.
Born May 18, 1958, Lloyd is the son of Floyd "Cotton" Stephens and Jewel Gaston Stephens. On August 5, 1977, he married the love of his life, Brenda C. Stephens, and the two were married for forty-eight years. He was a true workaholic – even during chemo, he pushed through fifteen-hour workdays. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and spending time on his tractor. Lloyd also found great joy in taking care of Phyllis, his nineteen-year-old Pomeranian dog, whom he held in high esteem. He loved aggravating his daughter-in-law and even changed her last name from Agnew to Nagnew. Stubborn to the core, he was known for many things, but his greatest title was PeePaw. His grandson was his heartbeat, and the two of them thrived on arguing and annoying each other. If it hadn't been for his kids aggravating him, he might not have made it through his eleven-year battle with cancer. Lloyd never met a stranger and was a natural joker. No matter how bad his day was, he did all he could to make someone laugh. He was a prankster, a nutcase in the best way, and his family wouldn't have wanted him any other way. Lloyd was simple, genuine, and full of life. He attended Ramah Missionary Baptist Church in Tenaha.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda C. Stephens; son, Peter Stephens and wife Amy; grandson, Mylon Stephens; brother, Elton Rodney Stephens and wife Teresa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Floyd "Cotton" Stephens and Jewel Gaston Stephens; sister, Debbie Bronson; and brother, Thomas "Tony" Pinion.
Pallbearers will be Danny Wayne Stephens, Billy Cliff, John "Redman" Wheeless, Chase Evans, John Hall, James Elliott, and Mike Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Agnew, Red Wheeles, and Ricky Hipp.
