Linda Jacque Downing Tyre , 82, of Center, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021, in Center.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 6, 2021, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Linda's nephew, Ray Stroope Jr., officiating.  Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Born January 30, 1939, in Mabank, Linda is the daughter of Thomas "Jack" Downing and E. Cozette Reynolds Downing.  She was a retired hairdresser.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Tyre Miller of Center; son, Jack Tyre Sr. of Center; grandchildren, Shannon Tyre Denby and Brad of Center, James Tyre Jr. and Nina of Center, Miranda Tyre Gerardo and Daniel of Nacogdoches, Jack Tyre Jr. and Autumn of Timpson, and Tamara Tyre Boyer and Michael of Garrison; great grandchildren, Dylan, Zac, and Brannon Denby, Conner, Brently, and Deikon Tyre, Ty Ross, and Makayla Tyre, Jaydon and Jarred Tyre, Jordan Anderson, Raylee and Kendall Boyer; sister, Nan Downing Gulley of Seagoville; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband, James E. Tyre Jr.; son, James D. Tyre Sr.; brother, Jeffery R. Downing; parents, Thomas "Jack" Downing and E. Cozette Reynolds Downing; son-in-law, Maurey Miller.

Pallbearers will be Jack Tyre Sr., Jack Tyre Jr., Dylan Denby, Zac Denby, Brannon Denby, Jordan Anderson, and Jaydon Tyre.  Honorary pallbearers will be James Tyre Jr. and Brad Denby.
