Leonard L. Burns, 90, of Joaquin, passed away on January 19, 2012 at Many Health Care Nursing Home in Many, Louisiana. He was born on November 10, 1921 in Center to Rufus Lafayette Burns and Sallie Cogswell Burns. Mr. Burns served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired after many years of service as a rural letter carrier.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Harper's Chapel Cemetery in Hemphill.

Pallbearers will be Buren Lowe, Lance Burns, Neal Burns, Lynn Burns, James Collins, and Robert Harper. Honorary pallbearers will by Dylan Martin and Justin Boggs.
