Leon Pleasant , 56, of Center, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019, in Nacogdoches.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Keith Keele officiating. Interment will follow at Newburn Cemetery in Center.

Mr. Pleasant was born November 6, 1962, in Center, to Lamar M. Pleasant and Maxine Belsher Pleasant. His hobby was fishing. Mr. Pleasant was of the Christian faith. As a child, he attended Center Christian Church.

He is survived by his brother, Otis Pleasant and wife Maria of Center; sister, Cecil Fletcher of Appleby; niece, Heather Hallmark; nephews, Adam Pleasant, Chris Pleasant, Matthew Brittain; great nephew, Dustin Hearne of Center; great niece, Emily Jackson; a host of friends.

Preceded in death by parents, Lamar M. Pleasant and Maxine Belsher Pleasant; brothers, Bobby Lee Pleasant, Thomas Wayne Thacker.

Pallbearers will be Troy Keele, Mitchell Hollaway, James Thompson, Robert Sanford, Adam Pleasant and Rob Sanford. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Hutto, Tommy McMahon, Bubba McMahon, Stacey Sanford, Rusty Perry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
