LaVelle Leach Watlington , 94, of Center, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019, in Center.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2019, at Wimberly Cemetery in Huxley with Bro. Gordon Vaughn and Bro. Michael McArthur officiating. Family visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Public visitation will begin at 12:00 noon.

Mrs. Watlington was born September 13, 1924, in San Augustine, to Clarence Leach and Emmer Lynch Leach. She loved fishing and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Watlington was a member of Lydia Missionary Baptist Church in Huxley.

She is survived by her daughters, Zonia Corbell and husband Shane of Shelbyville, Texas, Tonja Bordelon and husband Ray of Frierson, Louisiana; grandchildren, Shanell Ruiz and husband Jesse of Center, Texas, Jasper Corbell and wife Caroline of Center, Texas, Payton Bordelon of Frierson, Louisiana; great grandchildren, Cash Ruiz of Center, Texas, Cyrus Ruiz of Center, Texas; special nieces and nephews, Rodney and Debbie Warren and their children Michael Vincent Warren, Sarah Scott and Adam Scott and their daughter Aubrey, Sheila Hudson and son Warren Hudson; sister-in-law, Thelma Leach; a number of nieces and nephews; a host of friends.

Preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Watlington; sister, Ann Warren; brothers, "Dick" Leach, "Shot" Leach, "Bear" Leach, "Sid" Leach, Ferrel Leach.
