Laura Peddy Bowers, 78, of Tenaha, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009 at her residence in Tenaha. She was born February 13, 1931 in Tenaha to J. B. Peddy and Pearl Agnew Peddy. Mrs. Bowers was a homemaker, mother and grandmother and had owned and operated "The Mercantile" in Tenaha for a number of years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Tenaha.

Pallbearers will be Dr. William Ginn, David Christensen, John Scull, Charles Weeks, Julian Peddy, Jerry Agnew, Bob Parker and Brack Harrison. Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Burns, Walter Peddy, Dick Parker, Bob Davis, Chris Christensen and Gene Casto.
