Kevin Duane Runnels, 57, of Joaquin, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026, in Joaquin.

His wishes were to be cremated.

Born September 23, 1968, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Kevin is the son of A.J. Runnels, Jr. and Trudy Price Runnels. He was a devoted father and grandfather always enjoying family gatherings, where he was the life of the party. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and cooking.

He is survived by his children, Nathan Runnels of Tyler, Cody Runnels and wife Vanessa of Keatchie, Louisiana, and Anna Runnels of Tenaha; grandchildren, William Runnels, Matthew Runnels, and Mia Runnels; brothers, Alan J. Runnels and Donald R. Runnels; sisters, Melinda R. and husband Jason Harvey and Brittany L. and husband Gary Whitton; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, A.J. Runnels, Jr. and Trudy Price Runnels.
