Kenneth Spurlock, 81, of Joaquin, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011 in Center. He was born on May 21, 1930 in Joaquin to J.G. Spurlock Sr. and Essie Jones Spurlock. Mr. Spurlock was a member of the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Dept, was on the Joaquin City council for years and served as the Joaquin mayor pro tem.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, August 1, 2011 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Elmer Mathews officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Shelby County.
