Kathleen Gopffarth Kight , 83, of Center, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, in Nacogdoches.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will start at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Milton Powers officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Chester, TX.

Born July 10, 1939, Kathleen was born in Bonham, TX to Herman Stephen Kurt Gopffarth and Mattie Arkatie Gopffarth. During her free time, she enjoyed embroidery and sewing. Kathleen also enjoyed reading and gardening. Kathleen was a member of Shelbyville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Karl Kight and wife Vickie; grandchildren, Heather Mitcham, Dillon Powell; sister-in-law, June Gopffarth, and numerous nieces and a nephew.

Preceded in death by her parents, Herman Stephen Kurt Gopffarth and Mattie Arkatie Gopffarth; brothers, Richard Gopffarth, and Glenn Gopffarth.
