Karen Creech Thompson , 70, of Center, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019, in Center.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Logansport, Louisiana.

Ms. Thompson was born August 17, 1949, in Logansport, Louisiana, to Lloyd Creech and Betty Vancleave Creech. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Logansport, where she taught Sunday school for a few years. During this time, she became known as "Aunt Cookie" to all the children.

She is survived by her son, Charlie B. Thompson of New Orleans, Louisiana; brothers, Billy Creech of Logansport, Louisiana and Sam Creech of Irving, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Thompson; parents, Lloyd Creech and Betty Vancleave Creech; and brother, Danny Creech.
