Julissa Hernandez , 21, of Center, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025, in Nacogdoches.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2025, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at Noon, Saturday, July 12, 2025, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Center.  Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Born October 27, 2003, Julissa is the daughter of Luis Hernandez and Cristina Garcia.  She loved listening to music and dancing, and she loved sunsets and going outside at night.  Julissa was very friendly.  She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Center.

She is survived by her father, Luis Hernandez of Center; mother, Cristina Garcia of Center; sisters, Jocelin Hernandez-Garcia of Center, Jannet Hernandez-Garcia of Center, Estephany Hernandez-Garcia of Center, and Jennifer Garcia of Mexico; brothers, Luis Hernandez-Garcia, Jr. of Center and Cesav Garcia of Mexico; step-brother, Luis Fernando of Center; grandmother, Janny Martinez of Center; aunts, Ricarda Yoridia Hernandez and husband Abel of Center, Janny Avilene Hernandez of Center, Yuliana Gonzalez and family of Center, and Patricia Garcia and husband Rutilo Colorado of Nacogdoches; uncle, Isidro Hernandez of Center; great aunt, Benon Martinez and husband Rigoberto Barahona and family of Center; great uncles, Jesus Martinez of Center and Lucio Martinez of Alabama; cousins, Angela Cruz-Hernandez and husband Erick Pallares of Center, Jose Martinez of Center, Jesus Martinez of Center, and all of the Barahona-Hernandez cousins; special friends, Armando Gonzalez and wife Mirna and family of Center, Carlos Gonzalez and wife Lili Hernandez and family of Center, Agapita Cruz of Center, Carlos Lopez and wife Yolanda and family of Center, Ulises Santos and family of Center, Juan Gonzalez and wife Beatrice of Center, Janelle Lugo of Center, Debra Espinosa and family of Center, Briana Gonzales of Center, and Jerrod Nutt and wife Fernanda and family; and godmother from baptism, Luz Muñoz.
