Josephine Hairgrove Vickery, 90, of Tenaha, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 at her residence. She was born April 27, 1919 in Tenaha to Aurora Hairgrove and Jodie Duke Hairgrove. Ms. Vickery was retired from Tenaha ISD after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tenaha and a member of the Ladies 5 Sunday school class.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, August 24, 2009 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Tenaha with Bro. Russ Atwood and Bro. Bill Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at Ramah Cemetery in Tenaha.

Pallbearers will be Roland Cross, Bill Hairgrove, Franklin Hairgrove, Charles Hooker, Dudley McIntire, Lee Howard, Alvin Hairgrove and Van Hairgrove. Honorary pallbearers will be James Edward Hairgrove, Joe Dan Hairgrove, Jimmy Covington, Billy Wayne Hairgrove, Gene Hairgrove, Paul Culp and Homer Tompkins.
