Johnnie Parma, 80, of Joaquin, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008, at a Mansfield hospital. He was born December 6, 1927 in Wallis, Texas to Frank Parma and Sophia Rankin Parma. Johnnie served in the Merchant Marines during WWII, and attended the Catholic Church in Wallis. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 9th at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 10th at Watson & Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Jody Hooper and Bro. Ronnie Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.
Pallbearers will be Mark Furlow, Shannon Permenter, Cody Permenter, Kade Rogers, Chad Pridgen, Gary Hubenak and Doug Shook. Honorary Pallbearers Bill Bain, Bill Tomlinson, Randall Moton, Tommy Spurlock, Jim Colter, Joe Scruggs, Hugh Daw, Rodney Dean, Dan Kifer, Larry Hennigan and Lennis Holt.
