John Wesley Weir Sr. , 68, of Center, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024, in Center.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. at Feagin Cemetery in Polk County.

Born June 12, 1955, in Livingston, Polk County, Texas, John is the son of James Albert Weir, Sr. and Mary Helen Clamons Weir.  He loved fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Dorothy Harvey of Tenaha; son, John Weir Jr. and wife Ashley of Joaquin; daughter, Marie and husband Chris Hunsley of Midland; grandchildren, Braxton Weir, Eli Weir, Brylee Weir, John Weir III, Dustin Weir, Nick Hunsley, and Ashton Hunsley; brother, James Weir Jr. of Center; sister, Julia Weir Smith of Center; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by sons, Donald Weir and John Weir; and parents, James Albert Weir, Sr. and Mary Helen Clamons Weir.
