John Lee Miles , 68, of Center, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022, in Nacogdoches.

Visitation to be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Watson & Sons Chapel.  Masonic graveside service to follow at Old Sardis Cemetery in San Augustine County.

Born October 3, 1954, in San Bernardino, California, John is the son of Bonnie Lou O'Dell and Donald Howard Miles.  He retired from Wal-Mart Automotive.  John was a member of Sam Samford Masonic Lodge #149, where he was currently a Master Mason. John also served on the Tenaha Volunteer Fire Department, and assisted with both EMT and wrecker services.

He is survived by significant other, Nina Walker of Center; daughter, Shellie Rose Jackson of California; numerous grandchildren; cousins, Linda O'Dell of California and Laura O'Dell Hill of California; niece, Renee Miles Hammer of Louisiana; stepdaughter, Brendah Burns and Charles of Center; stepsons, Duval Walker of Center and Donnie Walker and Sheila of Center; also, numerous step-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie Lou O'Dell and Donald Howard Miles; brother, David Arthur Miles; and stepson, Vince Walker.
