John Edward Allsbrooks Sr. , 67, of Center, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in Center.

Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Waterman Cemetery in Shelby County.

Born July 12, 1954, in Jacinto City, John is the son of Mary Janet Grimes and Charlie Edward Allsbrooks.  He served in the United States Army and later worked in the oil industry as a truck driver.  His hobbies included hunting and fishing.  John was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include son, John Allsbrooks Jr. and wife Lisa of Utah; stepson, Clinton Risinger and wife Brenda of Center; daughter, Charity Bunting of Oklahoma; and stepdaughter, DeJuana Risinger of Tenaha; sisters, Janet Trojanowski, Ann Moser, and Viola Little; brothers, James Allsbrooks and Robert Allsbrooks; 6 grandkids; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, Mary Janet Grimes and Charlie Edward Allsbrooks; wife, Mildred Fay Allsbrooks; son, Jess Allen Allsbrooks; and sister, Charlene Morrell.
