Joel Rodriguez , 22, of Center, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020, in Center.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, July 4, 2020, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2020, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Fausto Balderas officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Born September 17, 1997, in Rocky Mountain, North Carolina, Joel is the son of Meliton Sanchez and Maria G. Rodriguez. He served in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his mother, Maria G. Rodriguez; father, Meliton Sanchez; brother, Jose Sanchez; grandmother, Juana Gomez; grandfather, Justino Rodriguez; uncles, Roman Rodriguez and wife Adela, Juan Rodriguez and wife Griselda, Marcos Rodriguez and wife Maria; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; girlfriend, Sthephanie Lē; and close friend, Virginia Valencia.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Ricardo Sanchez and Josefina Vazquez.

Pallbearers will be Roman Rodriguez, Meliton Sanchez, Raymundo Sanchez, and Adan Ramirez.
