Joel Michael Ellis, 69, of Minden, Louisiana, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2026, at Truitt Cemetery in Joaquin with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Bro. Steve Ellis will officiate.

Born September 11, 1956, in Center, Joel is the son of Joe Ellis and Winola Williams Ellis. He loved hunting, fishing, trucking, and being a cowboy.

He is survived by his children, Clay Ellis of Joaquin, Josie Ellis of Mt. Enterprise, and Jace Ellis and wife Nevaeh of Mississippi; bonus daughter, Fran Mouser; grandchildren, Isabella Sessions, Aaliyah Sessions, Tristan Sessions, Grace Ellis, Rilynn Ellis, Kyleigh Lock, Charleigh Lock, and Jasper Ellis; sisters and brother, Susan Godfrey of Waco, Jan Cassard of Henderson, Cindy Harris of Henderson, and Jon Ellis of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, Joe Ellis and Winola Williams Ellis; granddaughter, Olivia Ellis; and nephew, Joey Stringer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Boo Klein, James White, Tristan Sessions, Jimmy Deal, Jerry Hoepfl, Guy Barton, Donald Parker, and Case Mouser.
