Obituary

Joe E. Fields , 92, of Center, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013 in Houston. He was born July 15, 1920 in the Sardis Community of Shelby County to W. D. Fields and Georgie Cooper Fields. Mr. Fields retired as a Major in the United States Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Center and the Golden Harvest Club. Mr. Fields also enjoyed singing in local nursing homes.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Center with Rev. Michael Hale and Rev. Harold Hanson officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Pallbearers will be Lonnie Belrose, Burton Brown, W.A. Moore, Larry Ballard, Delbert Beckham and John Bender.

Brother: Jack Fields and wife, Clara of Houston

First Cousin: Zannie Gay Belrose of Center
