Joann Smith Thomson Norris, 79, of Tenaha, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at a Lufkin hospital. She was born December 22, 1929 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Arthur Ray Smith and Erma Veo Plew Smith. Ms. Norris was a member of First Baptist Church in Tenaha.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, October 2, 2009 at the Scull Family Cemetery in Tenaha with Rev. Russ Atwood officiating.
