Jessie Parnell Wilburn , 84, of Brookeland, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016, at his residence.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Rev. Terry Lott officiating. Interment will follow at Patroon Cemetery in the Patroon Community of Shelby County.

Mr. Wilburn was born November 28, 1931, in the Patroon Community of Shelby County, to John Vessie Wilburn and Emma Tarbutton Wilburn. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Wilburn was a 60 year member of Sam Houston Masonic Lodge #32, in Shelbyville, a member of Boilermaker Local #587, a member of VFW, and a Shriner. He was also a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church in Pineland.

Claudia Overcast and husband, Ray of Biloxi, Mississippi
