Jessie D. Johnson , 97, of Joaquin, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019, in Joaquin.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center with Bro. Jody Hooper presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.

Mrs. Johnson was born June 4, 1922, in Shelby County, to Gid W. Adkison and Mary Crocker Adkison. She was a poultry farmer and her hobby was gardening.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Gragg Crutcher of Orange; granddaughter, Nannette Gragg Eddins and husband Ricky of Joaquin; great grandchildren, Jacob Eddins and wife Liz of Shelbyville and Cody Eddins and wife MiKayla of Joaquin; great great grandchildren, Madison Ghea, Bethany Ghea, Kyndra Ghea, Brookelyn Wildes, and Zach Wildes; great great great grandchildren, Natalie Wildes and Brianna Wildes; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Preceded in death by husband, S.W. Johnson; parents, Gid W. Adkison and Mary Crocker Adkison; brother, H.L. Adkison; and sister, Audrey Mae Zarafonetis.
