Jesse Waymon Brown, 86, of Center, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in Pine Grove Nursing Center. He was born February 16, 1922 in Shelby County, Texas to Allen Headrick Brown and Alice Pearl Wilburn Brown. Mr. Brown was a lifetime resident of Shelby County. He served in the United States Naval Service, the Civilian Conservation Corps, and was retired from Holly Farms. He was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, February 13th at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 14th at Watson & Sons Chapel with Reverend Charles Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hamilton Cemetery.

His first wife, Louise Haley Brown, in 1959, as well as their infant sons, Jerry Wayne & James Allen
His second wife, Opal W. Brown, in 2007
