Jerry M. Sowell , 77, of Logansport, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016, in Nacogdoches.

Mr. Sowell's wishes were to be cremated and a family memorial will be held at a later date.

Mr. Sowell was born May 6, 1939, in San Augustine, to James Kelly Sowell and Ruby Sanford Sowell. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of Campti Pentecostal Church.
