Jerry B. Johnson , age 81, of Deer Park, Texas passed away on Sunday May 5, 2019, while under hospice care at The Courtyards at Pasadena in Pasadena, Texas. Jerry was born January 2, 1938, in Carthage, Texas, to Clarence and Helen Johnson.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Johnson. They were married on March 30, 1963. He is also survived by his son, Cari Johnson and wife Lori of Deer Park, Texas; his granddaughter, Ashley Robinette and husband Ryan of LaPorte, Texas; his brother, Jack Johnson and wife Marjorie of Deer Park, Texas; and two sisters, Novell Young and husband Denver of Houston, Texas and Norma Gann of Wallis, Texas.

He is proceeded in death by his father and mother, Clarence and Helen Johnson; his brothers, Tom Redmond and Billy Nicholson; and his stepfather, Hoyt Lunsford.

Jerry served in the United States Army from 1961 -1965. From 1961 -1962, he was stationed at Fort Hood and Germany (Hell on Wheels Division -Tank Maintenance), from 1962 - 1965 he served in the Army Reserve. He was honorably discharged in 1965.

Jerry retired from AT&T.

Jerry loved to FISH! He fished, and he talked about fishing, and he fished, and he thought about fishing, and he fished  did we mention he loved to fish?
