Jean Owens Goettmann , 92, of Joaquin, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019, in Joaquin.

Private family memorial has already been held.

Mrs. Goettmann was born July 27, 1927, in the Patroon Community of Shelby County, to Edward Owens and Mattie Grubbs Owens.  She later moved to California and lived for many years before moving back home, where she enjoyed painting and fishing.

She is survived by her daughter, Alice Aylor of Joaquin; grandson, James Hutchinson and wife Terri of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; three great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
