Jean Forrest , 76, of Center, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, in Center.

Graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Asbury Chapel Cemetery in Shelby County with visitation one hour prior at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.

Born March 21, 1945, Jean is the daughter of Merline Brittain and Pershing Sherrod .  She retired as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after twenty years.

She is survived by her nephew, Shannon Sherrod and Melissa of Chireno ; sister-in-law, Sandra Wilson and Marcus of Center; and great niece, Christina Hernandez and Roger of Lufkin.

Preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Forrest; and brothers, Johnny Sherrod and Wayne Sherrod.
