Obituary

Jason Hubert Covington , 54, of Center, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016, in Center.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Center. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Center.

Mr. Covington was born November 9, 1961, in Nacogdoches, to John Maxie Covington and Joy Hughes Covington. He attended Kilgore College and Stephen F. Austin University. Mr. Covington was a loving husband and a devoted dad. His wife and three boys were the light of his life. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Shelby County Cruisers, NHRA and Center Country Club. Mr. Covington was very active in youth baseball, having coached for several years. He was Vice President of Covington Lumber and Construction Company for thirty-one years.
