Janice Louise Porter , 77, of Batesville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Sardis Cemetery in Shelby County with Sister Melba Rodgers officiating.

Born July 27, 1947, in Center, Janice is the daughter of A.E. Porter and Doris Elliott Porter.  She loved dogs, crocheting, ceramics, painting, hanging out with her grand dog, Rocky, and watching Hudson and Rex. Janice was of the Pentecostal faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacia Bryan and husband Keith of Batesville, Arkansas; son, James Gregory Barbe and wife Christina of Irving, Texas; grandchildren, T.J. Magness and fiancé Kailee of Hallsville, Texas, Henry Barbe of Irving, Texas, Blake Barbe of Irving, Texas; grand dog, Rocky; brothers, Michael Porter and wife Sharon of Center and Mark Porter-Rodriquez and husband Pedro of Fort Worth, Texas; uncle, Mac Elliott; and a host of nieces and nephews, Monica and Scott Zimmerman, Kalyn Gilchrist, Jacob Zimmerman, Justin, Carissa, Hadley, Harper, Hollynn, and Hudson Porter, Matthew, Cassie, and Emmett Elton Porter, Jon Porter, Zoie Porter, Gage Porter, Samuel Krystyn Raiden, Kylee, and Zane Porter.

Preceded in death by parents, A.E. Porter and Doris Elliott Porter; brother, Randall Porter; and nephew, Michael Shane Porter.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Porter, Jon Porter, Justin Porter, and Samuel Porter.  Honorary pallbearers will be T.J. Magness and Henry Barbe.
