Obituary

James W. Wheeler , 87, of the Aiken Community of Shelby County, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at his residence.  He was born April 10, 1926 in Garrison to Weldon Simpson Wheeler and Annie Della Nelson Wheeler.  Mr. Wheeler served in the United States Army.  He was the owner and operator of Wheeler Radiator Shop for many years.  Mr. Wheeler was a member of the National Rifle Association, Golden Eagles, VFW Post #8904 and White Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Center.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Watson & Sons Chapel with William Eddins officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Herman Cemetery in Center.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Wheeler's Grandchildren.  Honorary pallbearers will be Don Parmer, Tommy Harris, Don Bush and John Gray.
