James Darrell "Sonny" Campbell , 77, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013.

"Sonny" was born November 1, 1935, in Shelbyville, Texas, to Jim Fred Campbell and Callie Furlow Campbell. He has been a resident of Port Arthur since 1957 and retired from Southern Union Gas as a field supervisor.  He was a member of Port Arthur Masonic Lodge #1264 and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Campbell, brothers Marshall, Chester, and Robert Campbell, and sister Nina.

Survivors include his daughter, Penny Younker and husband, Don of Houston;  sisters, Ann Scarber of Shelbyville,  Louise Greer of Shelbyville, LaMerle Davis of Houston, Kay Ballard and husband, Stan of Mont Belvieu;  brothers, Carl Campbell  of Port Arthur, Crit Campbell and wife Bobbi of Shelbyville,  Earl Campbell and wife, Vivian of Center, Judd Campbell, sister-in-law of Logansport, LA; grandchildren, Ryan Kutner, Barra Kutner, Devon Younker and Dalton Younker.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas.
