James Ladson "Jimmy" Christian , 67, of Onalaska, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023, in Center.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Bro. Son Windham officiating.

Born August 14, 1955, in Houston, James is the son of Benjamin Theodore Christian Jr. and Joanne Beene Christian.  Jimmy was a brain cancer survivor which in the end took his life.  He lived a very full life and was very generous to a fault.  He loved traveling and people. Quick witted like his dad, he could tell a colorful story.  A favorite story was when his friend, Randy, visited him in Katy; Jimmy put a load of clothes to wash and used kitty litter instead of soap powder as both were nearby. He loved wearing his favorite hats.  A Christian, he loved Jesus and knew where he was going.

He is survived by daughter, Jennifer Brooke Windham and husband Jonathan of Center; sons, Justin Wertz and Aaron Wertz; grandchildren, Nicholas Windham, Rhiannon Windham, Alexis Jade Wertz, Aryn Lynn Wertz, Aleeya Janae Wertz, and Ava Mae Wertz; mother, Joanne Beene Cunningham; sister, Julianne Christian Bennett and husband Charles D. Bennett; nephew, Donald Gene Jacobs Jr.; niece, Amy Lee Everitt and husband Keith Everitt; great nieces, Jade Audrie Billings and Victoria Hughes; and special friend, Randy Foregger and wife B.J.

Preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Theodore Christian Jr.; and brother, Kerry Preston Christian.
