James T. Green, 90, of Shelbyville, passed away on Wednesday, November 09, 2011 at Shelby Regional Medical Center. He was born in Shelby County on June 27, 1921 to James Thomas Green and Ella Rae Gray Green. Mr. Green served four and a half years in the United States Navy. He taught at Shelbyville Elementary School for thirty-one years and was principal for the last twenty-four years. Mr. Green was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church and Sam Houston Masonic Lodge #32.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 11, 2011 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Gordon Vaughn and Bro. Carl Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Shelbyville Cemetery in Shelbyville.
