James Harold Black Sr. , 91, of Palestine, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 in Palestine. He was born February 8, 1923 in Alto to Templeton Black and Edna Phares. Mr. Black was a member of Tyre Lodge #198 in Tennessee Colony and also a member of Scottish Right, Shriners and VFW Post #3907. He was of the Baptist faith.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. A graveside service, with military honors, will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Salem Cemetery.
