Obituary

Jackie Jo Wright , 62, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, in Shelbyville.

Celebration of life will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.

Born November 27, 1962, in Shelby County, Jackie is the daughter of Buvis "Earl" Wright and Linda May Wright.  A devoted mother, she loved and lived for her family.  Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her.  Jackie frequently prepared meals for her family, often expressing that it was the most she could contribute to them.  She enjoyed gardening and took pride in growing beautiful rose bushes. Jackie was certain that her conversations with her roses accelerated their growth.  She was goofy, loved to sing, and enjoyed a good joke.  Jackie didn't mind speaking her mind.  She had a selfless personality and her job as a caretaker came natural to her. Jackie accepted the Lord as her Savior at an early age and was a faithful member of East Hamilton Missionary Baptist Church most of her life.  She and her family sang many specials for revivals and special meetings over the years.

She is survived by her children, James Earl Jones of Houston, Jessica Windham Hatcher of Timpson, Wyatt Windham and wife Samantha of Garrison, and Justice Hathorn of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Hunter Jones, Keegan Windham, Madison Windham, Mason Jones, Konnar Windham, Adalynn Windham, Allison Hatcher, and Hadley Windham; parents, Buvis "Earl" Wright and Linda May Wright of Shelbyville; niece, Steff Moore of Center; nephew, Cheyenne Moore and wife Kylee of Center; great nieces and nephew, Dustin Moore, Emma Moore, and Madalynn Ferrebee; tons of aunts; best friend/sister, Windy Lynn Wright of Shelbyville; special friends, Cobin McSwain and Tyler Hughes; and her precious Sholar Family.

Preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Billy Jack Moore; and special friend, Cindy Sholar.
