Jack Bell, 89, of Center, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Holiday Nursing Center. He was born in Dallas on January 5, 1922 to Daniel Bell and Lilliam Elsie William Bell. Mr. Bell served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Center Noon Lions Club and VFW Post 8904. He was a past President and Board Director of the Texas Association of Broadcasters. Mr. Bell was a recipient of the Pioneer Broadcasters Awards.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park with Military Honors under the direction of the VFW Post #8904.
Pallbearers will be Dewey Howard, Steve Tinkle, John Howard, John R. Smith, Gene Fields and Johnny Porter.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Fussell, Hutch Hutcherson, Felix McDaniel, Cecil Watlington, James Campbell, James Paul Wilson, Tim Wulf and Fred Hughes.
