Jack Dempsey Alford, 76, of Center, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at his home. He was born October 7, 1933 in Center to Pierce Jones and Lucille Belrose Jernigan. Mr. Alford served in the US Army and was of the Baptist faith.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, October 30, 2009 at Mt. Herman Cemetery in Shelby County with Bro. Mike Fodge and Bro. R.B. Elumbaugh officiating.
