J. D. Walton, 80, of Joaquin, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 in San Augustine. He was born August 16, 1933 in Idabel, Oklahoma to Dorris Downy Walton and Wynona Coon Walton. Mr. Walton served in both the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps. He served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Mr. Walton was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Stanley, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 12, 2014 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Watson & Sons Chapel. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.
