Ima Christine Eaves Honeycutt , 100, of Crockett, formerly of Center, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 in Crockett.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2015 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Bud McGee officiating. Interment will follow at Spann's Chapel Cemetery in Shelby County.

Ms. Honeycutt was born September 27, 1914 in Shelby County to Walter D. Eaves and Decie Estes Eaves. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin University and went on to be a school teacher. Christine "Granny Honey" was such a caring and loving person to her husband, boys, and grandchildren. She cared for her parents and siblings and was a friend to all. Christine was a devout Christian, a charter member of Spann's Chapel Baptist Church and a member of Order of Eastern Star. She was known for her fried chicken and coconut pie. Christine was a gardener and always had a beautiful yard. She will be missed.
