Obituary

Hubbard Sam "Bo" Porter , 77, of Broaddus, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 1, 2017, in Broaddus.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Military honors graveside service will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Center under the direction of VFW Post 8904.

Mr. Porter was born May 1, 1940, in Center, to Hubbard Sam Porter Sr. and Roxie Jackson Porter. He proudly and honorably served in the United States Marine Corps for twenty years, doing two tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired as head maintenance from Texas A & M and also worked for Southern Pacific Railroad. Above all, his proudest accomplishment was being a husband, dad, pawpaw and olpaw. He loved everyone and was dearly loved.
