Harold Lee Osborne, 70, of Center, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 at his home. He was born Oct 1, 1940 in Bicknall, Indiana to Thomas and Ruth Elizabeth Ackerman Osborne. Harold worked and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company with 37 years of service. He was currently serving as Shelby Co. JP PCT. 1, having been elected to office in 2005. He was a member of the White Rock missionary Baptist church. Mr. Osborne served in the United states Marine Corp from 1959-1963. Through the years Harold played a key role in many fraternal organizations starting in 1973 when he joined and was the Master Mason of the Newbern Lodge #97 and served as Past Master, was the Secretary since 1994, the District Deputy Grand master in 1998 and received the Golden Trowel Award. He joined the Yorkrite Chapter # 125 in 1973 where he was the Past Grand High Priest of the Yorkrite chapter, Deputy Grand High priest and the Secretary. In the Yorkrite Council #73 he held the positions of Secretary and District Deputy Grand Master. In the Yorkrite Commandery #46 he was the Commander. Harold was the Club President and Secretary of the Shriners. He also served as the Past Patron and Treasurer of the Order of the Easter Star Newbern Chapter #1135.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, March 28, 2011 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Bro. Keith Rose officiating. Interment will follow at White Rock Cemetery in Center.

Pallbearers will be Mark Tidwell, Ron Gilliand, H.M. Mitchell, Gerald Messer, Steven Fults and Morris Hutto.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Powers, Margie Anderson, Larry "Dude" Jones, Bert Furlow, Robbie Williams, Liz Warr, Melissa Crouch, and Frankie Adams.
