Guy Wimberly Hicks, age 72, of Joaquin, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born October 1, 1937 in Castor, Louisiana to James Howard Hicks and Frances Elizabeth Thomas Hicks. Mr. Hicks served his country in the Navy. He was retired from Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, November, 6, 2009 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, November 7, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Haslam with Bro Jody Hooper officiating. Interment will follow in the Joaquin Cemetery in Joaquin.
