Gene Hairgrove, 80, of Mesquite, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009. He was born December 23, 1928 in Tenaha to William C. Hairgrove and Mildred Rhodes Hairgrove. Mr. Hairgrove was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to service time, Tuesday, September 8th at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 8th at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Mike Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Tenaha.

Pallbearers will be Sammy Rhodes, J. T. Rhodes, Charlie Rhodes, Wayne Hairgrove, Larry Hairgrove, Roland Cross and Charles Hooker. Honorary pallbearer will be Franklin Hairgrove.
