G.C. (Red) Meyers, 82, of Center, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at Holiday Nursing Home in Center. He was born August 19, 1929 in Shelby County to Henry H. Meyers and Luie Sumner Meyers. Mr. Meyers was employed at Tyson for twenty-five years and also worked as a commercial fisherman. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:30pm on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Campti Cemetery in Shelby County.

Pallbearers will be Danny Tidwell, Jeffery Sims, Rickie Sims, John Ross Jr., Tommy Hall and Charles Ray Metcalf. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Ross, William "Goose" Holder, Andy Gibbs, Lonnie Ware and Jay Harvey.
