Fred Carter Green , 79, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 in Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the home of Danny & Cheryl Green.* The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.

Mr. Green was born August 31, 1934 in Shelbyville to Vessie Caraway Green and Mary Leigh Carter Green. He served in the United States National Guard and was a member of IBEW Local 569, San Diego, California. Mr. Green loved working in his garden. He always had a big vegetable garden, fruit trees and beautiful rose bushes. He was also an avid fisherman for many years.

Theresa Stem and husband, Bill of Boise, Idaho

Hwy 87 South to Shelbyville, then FM 417 East towards Huxley, then stay on 417 to the LEFT at the intersection of FM 417 and FM 2694, then 10 or 12 miles to RIGHT on FM 139, then about a mile or so, stay RIGHT at the Y, then LEFT on CR 2008 (first dirt road to the left past the Y, less than a mile), then the road will make a right curve onto CR 2029, as soon as you make the curve, you'll see our place on the left at the end of the road.
