Ernest Cox , 83, of Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016, in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2016 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, June 18, 2015 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Hiram Melton officiating.

He was born November 14, 1932 in Joaquin, Texas to Bud Cox and Lottie Weaver Cox. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lafayette, Louisiana.

He is survived by

Philip Cox and wife, Vickie
