Elzie Ray Estes , 85, of Joaquin, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 28, 2025, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Bro. Micah McArthur will officiate.  Interment will follow at Ramah Cemetery in Tenaha.

Born May 17, 1940, in Paxton, Elzie is the son of Francis Estes and Ida Andrews Estes.

He is survived by his sons, Eddie Estes and wife Mickey and James Estes; grandchildren, Andrea Estes, Tiffany Kendrick, Michael Wayne Estes, Marlea Brandon, and Dillion Gene Walker; four great grandchildren; sister, Verna Murdock; nieces and nephews, J.B. Estes, Linda Lowe, Kathy Murdock, Laurie Edwards; numerous other nieces, nephews, and family members.

Preceded in death by his son, Jerry Michael Estes; parents, Francis Estes and Ida Andrews Estes; brothers, Raymond Estes, Curtis Estes, Tommy Estes, Buford Estes, and Henry Dalton Myers; and niece, Patsy Murdock.

Pallbearers will be Michael Estes, J.B. Estes, Richard Sharp, Brad Norwood, and Brady Plunkett.
