Elwood Kay, 88, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Pine Grove Nursing Center. He was born January 10, 1922 in Shelby County to Dewitt Kay and Annie Brown Kay. Mr. Kay was a member of Toledo Bend Missionary Baptist Church and worked for the US Forest Service from 1951 - 1978. He also served in the Navy from 1942-1946 on the USS Minneapolis.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, September 9, 2010 at Strong Cemetery in Shelby County.
