Elton Vernon Broadus , 74, of Carthage, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at his residence.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 24, 2015, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Chris Welch officiating. Interment will follow at Sholar Cemetery in Shelby County.

Mr. Broadus was born September 24, 1941, in Overton, to Emmitte Ramsey Broadus and Flossie Wiggins Broadus. He was a member of Word of Faith Church in Joaquin.
